Project Details
Depending on where they lived, many AFSCME retirees received a lot of communications about the 2020 presidential election that didn’t speak to their issues and were not emotionally engaging. To fire up retirees to get out the vote for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, we worked to produce two pieces of political direct mail, with the first piece featuring a retired nurse from Miami, Florida named Edith.
Creating deliverables for this political advertising example was both a fun and unique experience. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we worked with Edith to draft a letter for the piece based on a Zoom interview and issues that were important to retirees and did a short, socially distanced custom photoshoot. The political direct mail piece was a favorite of our staff, as well as the client, and we are confident it stood out to the retirees who received it.
