She/Her
Sophie Thurber (she/her) is a Partner at The Campaign Workshop, where she has been a cornerstone of the team (and a general ray of sunshine) since becoming its first employee in the spring of 2009. With over a decade and a half of tenure, Sophie doesn’t just manage projects—she oversees the full creative lifecycle from strategic concept to final delivery for a diverse roster of progressive campaigns, advocacy groups and labor unions. Her expertise lies in translating client goals into compelling programs that drive action.
Sophie’s strategic oversight and creative approach have powered work for leading organizations across the progressive movement, including the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network, UFCW, AFT, CFT, Planned Parenthood Advocates of Wisconsin and the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC). She has overseen the development of over 1,000 pieces of direct mail, along with hundreds of digital, print and out-of-home media buys, ensuring creative excellence from concept to execution.
A graduate of Dartmouth College (B.A., cum laude) and the London School of Economics (M.Sc. Political Theory), Sophie brings analytical rigor and top-notch execution to every client project. When not orchestrating mail drop schedules or optimizing digital content, Sophie can be found trying to get her kids and husband to appreciate semi-obscure rock bands (spoiler, it’s not going well) and talking to her dog, Winston, like he’s a person.
